Aloise Robert Weltz, Jr., died Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Catholic Care Center in Bel Aire, Kansas at the age of 93.

Robert was born on October 10, 1932 in Hays, Kansas, the son of Alois Robert and Odelia Rupp Weltz, Sr. The family moved to Goodland, Kansas in 1939 where he graduated from high school. Following high school he served in the U.S. Army.

Robert was the first member of his family to graduate from the University of Kansas with an accounting degree. He went to work for Montgomery Ward for over 20 years, living in Lincoln, Nebraska and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In the mid 80's Robert moved to Wichita where he opened his own accounting firm.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wichita. Robert was an avid Bridge player and also enjoyed playing Pinochle. He was an animal lover and in his later years, he took in numerous stray cats.

Survivors include his two sons Robert Weltz and wife Deena of Kansas City, Mo., and Andrew Weltz of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Irene Middleton; Cletus Weltz, and Alice Andra.

Graveside services will be held at the Goodland Cemetery in Goodland, Kansas.
