Andrea Elizabeth Mary Yunos, 55, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2025, at Springview Manor in Conway Springs, Kansas.

Andrea was born on May 14, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey, to Andrew Yunos and Kathleen Ann Kennon. She later moved to Wichita, where she spent much of her life surrounded by family and friends.

Andrea was known for her warmth, resilience, and ability to find the good in any situation. She had a way of easing hard moments with humor, and genuine care for others. She enjoyed arts and crafts, laughter, and simply being together with the people she loved. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world.

She was always ready for a road trip or a new experience, especially when it meant spending time together and making memories.

Andrea truly valued her close circle of friends, many of whom became family over the years.

Andrea is remembered by her children, Robert Johnson, Shantai Johnson, and Jasmine Johnson, all of Wichita; her grandchildren, Ariana Piedra, Aniyah Harris, and Semaj Gantt; her brothers, Matthew Yunos, Joshua Yunos, and Jimmy Ranslow; and many nieces and nephews. She was also a mother and grandmother figure to many other children, offering support, consistency, and love in ways that mattered.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Andrea's life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Rolling Hills Community Church, 8605 W Maple St, Wichita, KS 67209.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join together for lunch immediately following the service in the church dining area.
