Angela Marie Dillon (Gaines), age 50, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas, following a courageous and hard-fought battle with breast cancer.

Angela was born in Crowley, Louisiana, to Carole Leger and the late John Gaines.

A dedicated and compassionate soul, Angela spent the last 25 years working as a Registered Nurse at Wesley Medical Center in the Birth Care Center. Helping to deliver babies and welcome new life into the world was truly her greatest passion, and her warmth touched countless families in the community.

Above all else, Angela was a devoted family woman. She shared 30 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Justin Dillon. Her legacy of love lives on through her two daughters, Kalen Cravens and her husband Josh, and Laurel Haak and her husband Braden. She was also the deeply proud grandmother of three grandchildren: Kinsley, Haze, and Stone.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, John Gaines.

She is survived and forever missed by her husband, Justin; her daughters and their spouses, Kalen (Josh) and Laurel (Braden); and her three cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind her mother, Carole Leger; her grandmother, Edilia Fontenot, her brothers, Johnny Gaines and his wife Katherine, and Larry Gaines; her sisters, Christina Smith and her husband George, and Patricia Smith and her husband Ronnie; Her step-mother, Cathy Gaines, her step-sisters, Aliene Powers and her husband Gary, and Stephanie Scarborough and her husband Craig; as well as many extended family members, friends, and nursing colleagues.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Faith Community Church, 1750 N. Gow, Wichita, KS on Saturday, July 18 at 1:00 P.M.
