After a courageous five-year battle against cancer, Angela Dawn McPhail Hatcher, 44, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, with her husband, family and friends by her side.

She was born on January 14, 1982, in Wichita, the daughter of Stan and Debbie McPhail. Angela grew up in Rose Hill and was a member of the 4-H Club.  She graduated from Rose Hill High School in 2001.

While working at Wal-Mart in Derby, she reconnected with a high school classmate, David Hatcher. After dating for several years, they were married on May 15, 2015, at Fulton Valley Farms in a beautiful ceremony. In the years to follow, they enjoyed traveling with family and friends, camping and boating, and watching sunsets together as well as planting flowers, and watching them grow at their home in Haysville.  Angela also enjoyed decorating their home, going to concerts and crafting.  Angela would participate in craft shows with her Mother-in-law Susan where she would sell her handcrafted goodies.

Angela worked at Graphic Systems as a Customer Service Specialist for 10 years and for the past 14 years at ProFillment, LLC in Wichita where she was the Purchasing Manager. Her work family remained supportive through her battle, including creating a newsletter that featured her as "Flat Angela", (a posterboard cutout of her) they would move around the office and feature her in stories like welcoming new co-workers and include in business meetings.  They would send her the latest edition so she could stay connected to everyone.

Angela is survived by her husband David, two rescue dogs, Cosmo and Brodie; her parents Stan and Debbie McPhail, brother Patrick McPhail all of Rose Hill; sister Kristen Stuhlsatz and husband Mike, two nieces Alayna and Bree of Derby; In-laws, Kevin and Susan Hatcher of Rose Hill, Brother-in-law Steve Hatcher and wife Jenny, nephew Cameron and niece Brilynn of Ponder, Texas and many wonderful friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at Dave and Angela's home in the spring.
