April Stilwell, passed away on October 27, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1982.

April is survived by her children, Lily Hughes, Alyssa Stilwell, Chloe Clark, and Logan Clark, and her granddaughter, Skylar Nellans. She is also survived by her mother, Ronda Oakley; her brother, Charles Buford; her sisters, Dawn Buford-Melel, Heather Dunn and Amber Oden. She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Oden.

​April lived simply and loved fiercely. She was the kind of mom whose laugh could flip a bad day on its head, who made little things like notes, handmade gifts, small surprises just so her kids would smile even when she couldn't be there. She showed up when it mattered; the baby shower, graduations, and family moments that became anchor points for a lifetime.

​If you knew April, you knew a woman who kept choosing love, especially for her kids and her granddaughter. She was a helper by nature. Independent, resourceful, always finding a way to take care of the people around her, her greatest pride was being "Mama," and then "Meemaw." She talked about her kids constantly, wrote about them, dreamed for them, and loved them unconditionally.

​April also carried a hard battle with addiction. It did not define her, but it did take her. What defined her was the fight and the strength it took to keep laughing, to keep showing up, and to keep choosing hope on days when hope was heavy.

​We share her truth to honor her courage and to open a door for someone else: addiction is a disease, not a moral failure. If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. No one has to fight alone.

Her laugh lives on in the people she loved and her strength does too.
