Barbara Ann Moehring, 74, lifelong Wichita resident died on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025 at the Avita Senior Living at Rolling Hills in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on May 5, 1951 in Wichita, the daughter of William and Nancy Soper Swisher. Barbara graduated from Wichita East High School and later received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Wichita State University.

Barbara taught at Payne Elementary School in Wichita for her entire teaching career until she retired in 2004. She was a longtime member of P.E.O.

She married Don Craig Moehring (Craig) on April 28, 1988 in Wichita. They were members of Hillside Christian Church. Barbara and Craig enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and camping in their younger years.

Family was very important to her. Survivors include her husband Craig; son Jeremy McCune and wife Jessica; step-son Chris Moehring and wife Melissa all of Wichita; siblings Bob Swisher, Richard Swisher, Nancy Garvey all of Wichita, Jim Swisher of Rose Hill, and Mary Vanausdalll of Shawnee Mission, KS; and grandchildren Cheyenne McCune, Landon McCarthy, and Teaghan McCarthy.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; son Chad McCune; and brother William Swisher.

Memorial services will be held at the Hillside Christian Church January 19th at 10:30am. Private family inurnment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita in the future.
