Betty Lucille Dandurand, 79, died Monday, March 31, 2025 at her home in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on December 4, 1945 in Wichita, the daughter of Olan and Mary Fields. Betty's mother died when she was five years old. She was raised and attended schools in Wichita.

Betty married Herbert E. Dandurand on July 30, 1982 at the Methodist Church in Haysville. They continued to live in Wichita and were members of Central Community Church and enjoyed square dancing.

For several years Betty had been a nurse working at St. Francis Hospital as well as doing private nursing. She later worked as a Para in the Haysville School District. Betty was an avid reader.

Survivors include her husband Herb of the home; son Dan Dandurand and wife Michelle of Jadwin, Mo.; daughters Rebecca Krupalla and husband Steven of San Antonio, Tx., Tammy Squire, Brenda Vestering and husband Don all of Wichita; half-brother Bill Sample of Haysville; seven grandchildren Jeremy Squire, Brad Dandurand, Angelica Phillips, Chad Dandurand, Meaghan Dandurand, and Forrest Meek; along with six great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Sally Fields; brother Ray Fields; and grandson Addison Woodworth.
