Betty J. Eichkorn, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 12, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born to Lester and Ruth Cox in Salina, Kansas. She graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio.

Betty married William A. Eichkorn on August 28, 1955, and they shared 66 years together. She was a homemaker and raised 4 children. Her greatest love was family. Trips to see her parents, sisters, aunts, and cousins brought her great joy. She was a member of Central Community Church and was involved in a small group for many years.

For the last 7 years she resided at the Oxford Grand and enjoyed activities such as bingo, word games, and attending a weekly Bible study. She was loved by the staff. She rarely complained and always said she was fine.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Eichkorn, sisters JoAnn Graul and Kay Belchamber, and an infant son.

She is survived by sister Judy Heggie of Tucson, Arizona; daughter Cathy (Dave) Corley, Topeka; sons, Jim (Jonnell) Eichkorn, Wichita; Paul Eichkorn, Wichita; Bill (Sharon) Eichkorn, Hutchinson.  Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life will be Thursday,  May 14, at Central Community Church, 6100 W. Maple, Wichita, KS at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Central Community Church.
