Betty Jane Haines, 87, passed away on December 22, 2025 in Augusta, Ks. She was born on December 24, 1937 in Wichita, Ks to Charles and Blanche (Brown) Smith.

She married Leslie W. Haines Sr., on July 5, 1953. She was a longtime Valley Center resident and owned and operated Suburban Hair Styles in Park City, Ks until retirement. After retiring, she relocated to Milo, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leslie Haines Sr., son in law, Jimmie Parsons, brothers; Charles Smith, Danny Bill Smith, sisters; Rosemary Jennings, and Jeannie Hart.

She is survived by her five children; Tiena Parsons, of Augusta, Ks., Doni (Mark) Thompson, of Ely, IA, Leslie W. Haines, Jr, of Park City, Ks, Terry Ann (Kevin) Smith, of Wichita, Ks., and Brad (Rebecca) Haines, of Sedgwick, Ks, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and one sister, Georgia Nicholson of Chandler, AZ.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's & Related Disorders Association.
