It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Weber of Wichita, Kansas. He passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 71, at home surrounded by family.

Bobby was born on May 13, 1953, in West Virginia, and soon traveled by train to meet his parents Bob and Lavon Weber.  He grew up learning a love of racing from his father and carried that hobby through his life. He was the oldest of 4 children, in a family that loved and served God avidly together. Growing up Bobby had a hard childhood that caused him to face many adversities. That shaped him and made him to be the dedicated, protective loving brother and then father he was.   After completing private schooling at Belle Carter with Mae Crum, who was a positive part of his education and life, he went on to obtain his education certificate.  After completing his education, he landed his first job with Christopher steel and then went on to work at Boeing for many years as a machinist, while later finishing his working years driving a truck.  Bobby was a hard worker. He was never one to miss and was always early.

In March of 1972, he met Joyce Stover while dragging Douglas. We are almost certain this was part of his love for racing.  They wed on December 22, 1972, at the ages of 17 and 19, going on to have two daughters and then adopting their son to perfectly complete their family. Bobby was predeceased by both his parents Bob and Lavon Weber. He is survived by his wife Joyce Weber, his children Christy (Clint) Mans, Mindy (Michael) Eck, Wayne (Alicia) Weber, his grandchildren Paige, Abby, Chloe, Miles, Makena, Mason, JO~E, and Nick.  His siblings Frannie (Kevin) Nash, Tony (Kristen) Weber, Heather (Carl) Wheeler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  And of course, his dog Taco. Bobby leaves behind many family and friends. He is one that never knew a stranger, loved a good cup of coffee and was a very positive person. He was one that taught us that blood is not what made us family, but the love we have for each other.

As we are sad about the loss of Bobby, we encourage all that knew him to remember the love and laughter he brought into this world.

A memorial service has been arranged for Monday October 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Northside Church of Christ 4545 N Meridian Ave, Wichita KS 67204.  In lieu of Flowers memorial may be given to, Know your Bible, 4545 N Meridian, Wichita Ks 67204
