Obituary

Bret Alan Dillon, age 67, passed away on Friday January 16th 2026 with his bride by his side.

Born on September 18,1958 to James R. Dillon and Marilyn (Corn) Dillon in Wichita, Kansas. Bret was the middle of three sons. Growing up in a military family, Bret spent time in California and Arkansas, but the majority were in Derby, KS.

Bret spent a major part of his life in the plumbing industry, from residential to commercial. He would always tell stories of all the buildings around the area that he was a part of helping build. He enjoyed his work very much.

Bret was an avid fan of Chiefs football and Shocker basketball. He also enjoyed going out fishing with his good friend. Bret was also a fan of westerns; it did not matter if it was a John Wayne movie or reading a good Louis Lamour book.

Bret left behind his wife Debra of 46 years. His children who survive him include Joshua Dillon (Sarah) from Mulvane, Lisa Bworggah (Kenneth) from Overland Park, and Kristine Dillon from Wichita.

He also left behind his five grandchildren: Jaxson, Madilyn, Charles James (CJ), Aaliyah, Jacoby. Bret's older brother, Brad Dillon from Wichita, also survived him.

Bret was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Dillon and Marilyn Dillon, along with his younger brother, Kenneth Dillon.
