Brian Evans, 78, passed away on February 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy and service. Born on March 31, 1946, Brian was a devoted husband, brother, and community servant who touched the lives of many through his unwavering optimism and kindness.

Raised on a farm in a large family, Brian learned the values of hard work and perseverance early in life. He dedicated 23 years to the Red Cross, working as a bloodmobile driver and becoming known for his constant singing and ever-present smile. Colleagues fondly remembered him as a person who brought joy to every situation, regardless of the time of day.

In 1978, Brian met the love of his life, Virginia, while working for the Red Cross. They married in 1984, sharing a partnership built on mutual respect, service, and faith. Throughout their marriage, they were active in various churches, including First Church of the Nazarene, The Wesleyan Church and Central Community Church.

Brian's spiritual journey was marked by personal growth. Despite initial hesitations, he was baptized in a lake in Texas, demonstrating his commitment to faith and personal transformation. He was known for his generosity, often helping family and friends, including taking his great-niece Kristy to visit family graves.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Hazel Evans, siblings Raymond and Elaine, as well as a brother, Darrell, who died in infancy, and a stepson Bobby Joe. Brian is survived by his loving wife Virginia, brothers Arlie and Terry, sister Wanda, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Central Community Church on Saturday, April 5th at 10:00 AM. In honor of Brian's unique spirit, attendees are invited to wear orange, a color that reflected his love of life and sense of humor.

Brian will be remembered as a man who chose joy as his life's soundtrack, inspiring all who knew him to find happiness in life's simplest moments.
