Burnadine Day, of Valley Center, KS, passed away on January 22, 2026.
Burnadine Day was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 24, 1954. Burnadine lived in many places during her life, but from the mid-1980's to early 2000's, she lived in Nevada and worked as a government contractor and secured her Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician-II Certification and her Medical Examiner's Certificate to expand her service to her community.
Burnadine retired and returned to the Wichita, KS area to be close to her only daughter, Kelly.
Burnadine was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Sutton, parents Burnie (Velma June) Pilant, and brother Arthur Pilant.
Survived by grandson Christopher (Cheyenne) Wildoner, of Wichita, KS; Taylor (Katy) Sutton, of Andover, KS; Whitney (James) Cook, Kelsey (Eric) Wingarner, Jacob Sutton, all of Wichita, KS; nine great-grandchildren. Siblings Donna (Larry) Camaron of Neosho, Mo; Lona (Brad) Kelly, and Neta Ferguson of Wichita, KS; Jesse Pilant, Springfield, IL.
A maternal aunt, Nadine Gilbert (95) of Sapulpa, OK, also survives Burnadine.
Memorial Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, on February 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
