Carolyn S. Roper, 81, passed away on November 13, 2025 at her home in Wichita, Ks. She was born on February 3, 1944 in Wichita, Ks to Harold and Oretta (Jones) Maack.

She graduated from Southwestern College with a degree in music.  Soon after graduation, she bought a car and moved to Hartford, CT where a friend of hers lived.  She made the long cross-country trip all alone, a rare thing for a woman in the 1960s.  Because of her education, she enjoyed and appreciated classical music.  Carolyn was a natural caretaker and nurturer and took good care of many people during her lifetime.  She was a very well-organized woman and very good at logistics. She loved to read and was very partial to salted sunflower seeds in the shell. Being with Craig and spending summers down at the river in their cabin was a great delight to her. She will be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Dennis Maack.  She is survived by her husband, Craig, two sisters; Janet Setser (Don), and Jill Morizzo (Len) along with nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 12 at Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
