In Loving Memory of Casandra Hall

On a cool rainy spring day on May 6, 1967, in Arkansas City, Kansas, Casandra Luane Hall entered this world to Georgia Ann Hall (Redd) and Harold “Dutch” Morris.

Casandra was raised by Georgia and Theophilus Barnes in Kansas where she was the oldest of her siblings and naturally stepped into the role of a second mother. As children, her siblings called her “M’Sissy,” a name that carried the love, respect, and familiarity that followed her throughout life.

Casandra went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southwestern College and built a meaningful career in social work, wearing many hats along the way. But her most treasured roles were those of wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Casandra loved deeply, especially her beloved husband, James “Jimmy” Jones, with whom she shared a love that spanned more than 25 years. She is now reunited with Jimmy in eternal love and rest. She loved her children, Christopher Coon, Sarah Hall, and Jordan and Justin Jones. She was also a proud grandmother of 5 to Jackson, Brystal, Asher, Ryan and Penelope and treasured her siblings, nieces, and nephews dearly.

In 2003, Casandra opened Elijah’s Antee Daycare, named after her beloved nephew Elijah. Her daycare children and nieces and nephews who came along after the year 2000 knew her as “Antee” while the OGs affectionately called her “Aunt Casandra”. She had a way of making all children feel safe, loved, and at home.

If you knew Casandra, you knew she loved shopping and fashion. She could put an outfit together that would convince you that you needed one too! Her generosity matched her style. Casandra would give you the shirt off her back, and then send you home with two more just in case!

She joins in heaven her beloved mother, Georgia Redd, and brother, Antonio “Tony” Lolar, continuing a bond that not even death can break.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, grandchildren, siblings Angelina Afolabi, Morris Lolar, Robert Lolar, and Jackie McBounds, along with her beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, work family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Casandra loved hard, gave freely, looked good doing it, and made sure nobody left her presence empty-handed or empty-hearted. She will be deeply loved, remembered, and missed.
