Catherine Brown

Catherine Ann Brown, 73, passed away on September 20, 2026, in Wichita, KS. She was born on March 21, 1953, in Wichita to Verden and Dorothy (Gibbons) Brown.

Catherine (Cathy) grew up in Wichita with her three siblings. She graduated from South High School where she gained lifelong friends. Cathy returned to school when her boys were older. She became a proud graduate of Wichita State University. She worked as a paralegal before retiring.

Cathy was a loving daughter and sister. She was a proud mom to her two boys and a caring aunt to her nieces and nephews. Cathy hosted holiday celebrations while her boys were growing up to keep both her siblings and the children/cousins close. When Catherine became a grandmother, spoiling and doing crafts with her three grandchildren brought her joy. She enjoyed talking to her friends for hours and spending time with them. Cathy was a shopaholic and took pride in looking her best. She enjoyed traveling whenever she could, especially going on cruises. Her voice, her laugh, will not be forgotten. She will not be forgotten.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, son, Bradley Clark, and brother, Jeff Brown.

She is survived by her sons, Brandon Clark (Staci), and Ryan Clark (Natalie), three grandchildren; Ashton Clark (Jada), Kadence Clark, and Oliver Clark, sister, Ellen Hurtig (Mike), brother, Dean Brown and sister-in-law, Kristi Brown.

A family dinner in honor of Cathy will be held in October.
