Cecil Jerome "Jerry" Crownover, 83, died Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on October 4, 1941 in Asheville, North Carolina. When he was a child, the family moved to Columbus, Georgia where he attended high school. Jerry served in the U.S. Army and after being discharged lived in California before moving to Wichita.

He married Allora Lea Holtsclaw on August 11, 1973 in Altoona, Kansas. They resided in Wichita  where he owned and operated Jerry's Auto Sales on South Broadway.

Jerry loved to camp and fish and was an avid fan of Wichita State University Basketball, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.

Survivors include his wife Allora of the home; son Larry Crownover of Arkansas City, Ks.; daughters Rhonda (Rick) Turner of Eagle Rock, Mo.; and Debbie (Dave) Crownover of Wichita; step-daughters Susan (Kevin) Oneth of Wichita and Debbie (Thad) Richey of Augusta; along with his siblings Nancy (Dale) Bond of Clarksdale, Mi.; Beverly Holland of Columbus, Ga.; Dale (Debra) Henley of Wichita, and Bobby (Lottie) Crownover of Loganville, Ga.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father Cecil Crownover; mother Faye Brookshire Barwick; sons Lonnie and Michael Crownover; step-son Michael Squire; and sister Sandra Crownover.

Jerry's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 1820 N. Charlotte from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.  This will be a casual come and go event.
