Charles "Rockey"
Leslie Dupin
Dec 23, 1952 — Sep 26, 2024
Charles Leslie Dupin"Rockey" , a cherished individual known for being incredibly witty, generous, and ornery, with a sarcastic sense of humor, left us on September 26, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Born on December 23, 1952, Rockey lived a life filled with tremendous dedication to his family and service to others and his country.
Rockey served in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 to 1976. He met the love of his life Tina Barstow and they married on July 5, 1977. Together they cherished their 5 children Charles Dupin Jr., Joseph (and Heidi) Dupin, Lisa Dupin (and Ty Walker), Diana Dupin, Kimberly (and Justin) Davis.
Rockey had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his corny jokes that either made you roll your eyes or gut laugh, and for the joy he brought to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Elva May (Haycox) Dupin, his son, Charles Michael Dupin, four brothers; Don, Ron, Jerry, and Fred, and one sister, Sharon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina, five children; Charles, Joseph, Diana, Lisa, and Kimberly, one brother, Jack Gorfourth, 12 grandchildren, Dakota (and Josh), Andrew, Chad (and Maddie), Jay, Trenton, Connor, Mackenzie, Bailey, Caleigh, Anthony, Mason, Landon, and 2 great
grandchildren Wrenley and Wells.
Celebration of life will be held on November 2nd, 2024 at 11am at the Rose Hill Senior Center, 217 E Silknitter, Rose Hill, Kansas 67133.
Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
