Cheryl Darlene McCormick, 69, of Towanda, Kansas, died Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on November 21, 1955 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, the daughter of George and Geraldine Satterfield Jeans, II. While Cheryl was a child, the family moved to Hialeah, Florida where she graduated from high school.

She married Ray Neal McCormick on June 12, 1981 in Hialeah. They lived there until moving to Pembroke, Florida. Cheryl had worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for 11 years. She and Ray moved to Kansas in July 2004.

They were longtime member of Real Life Christian Church in Augusta. Cheryl loved horses and taking care of her house plans. She was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and Wheel of Fortune watcher.

Survivors include her husband Ray of the home; son Sean McCormick and his wife Amber along with her grandchildren Emelia and Nolan of Towanda; and sister Sandra of Michigan.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents; brother George Jeans, III; and sister Pam Denny.

Memorial services will be held at the Real Life Christian Church in Augusta, Kansas at 6:30 PM on April 3rd, 2025.
