Cheryl Ann Ray, 70, lifelong Wichita resident, died Monday, November 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 6, 1954 in Wichita, the daughter of Eldon Edward and Darla Ann Dearinger Courtney. Cheryl graduated from Wichita Heights High School.

She had been a Social Worker at Sandpiper Bay Health Care for several years. Cheryl loved drawing, having Mexican food, taking day trips, going to the casino along with annual trips to celebrate birthdays.

Survivors include her daughter Andrea Schen and husband Ian; son Aaron Ray; and grandson Tyler Hernandez all of Wichita.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Debra Edwards.

No services are planned at this time.
