Chris A. Wharton, 70, Wichita, entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026.

Chris was born December 19, 1955, the son of Don & Ida Wharton. He proudly served in the United States Navy before graduating from Friends University and working as an aeronautical engineer. A devoted follower of Christ, Chris could most often be found tending to the birds in their yard and reading his Bible.

Chris is reunited in Heaven with his parents, Don & Ida, grandmother Maggie, brothers Dean & Joe, and aunts and uncles, Sallee & Ed, Susie & Bill.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea, daughters Sara (Kevin), Jennifer (Reginald), and son Kevin (Brooke). He was the loving and proud Grandpa of Auston, Ryder, Westin and Kingston, Sawyer and Amelia, as well as Adalynn and Ellis.

He is now at peace, in the arms of his Savior.

The immediate family will gather for a celebration of life.
