Christopher Mills

Christopher Alan Mills, 55, passed away on July 1, 2026 at his home in Wichita, Ks. He was born on April 12, 1971 in Hutchinson, Ks to Merlin and Jeanette (Obee) Mills. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1989.

A former para educator at the early education center in Hutchinson. He will be remembered as a bringer of joy, encyclopedia of pop culture trivia, endless font movie references, and a connoisseur of silly Hawaiian shirts. He had a heart for animals and a special gift for connecting with children. They were naturally drawn to his kindness and gentle spirit.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vincent “Bud” and Helen Obee; paternal grandparents, Merlin and Lucille Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Elly Mills; sons, Bastian Mills (Caytlin), Dakota Mills (Dakota); stepchildren, Britany James, and Aaron Carter (Damian); sister, Jennifer Schissler; parents, Merlin and Jeanette Mills; grandchildren, Dante, Luna, Liam, Dravin, Destiny, and Dexter; nephews, Nicholas and Zachary Schissler; and numerous cousins.

Memorial service is pending.
