Cindy was born in Independence, KS on July 31, 1953 to the late Evelyn Jane (Ambler) and Preston Ramsey. Cindy moved to Severy, Ks at a young age and attended the local elementary and high school there. She was an excellent student.

Cindy moved to Ft. Worth, Texas for several years but ultimately returned to Wichita, KS where she worked at Shooters Billiard Club for many years.

She married Mike Smith later in life. Unfortunately, Mike passed away just a few years later. Cindy and Mike only had a short time together, but it was a special relationship.

Cindy is also preceded in death by two brothers, James Ramsey and Junior Ramsey.

She is survived by two sisters, Clara Register and Evelyn Burt and one brother, Billy Townsley.

Cynthia Jane Ramsey (Smith), known as Cindy, passed away on September 9th 2024 at the home of her friend, Sharon Ford-Fitchett, in Wichita, KS.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.
