Connie Kay Lackey, 77, died Monday, September 2, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on December 8, 1946 in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Lucille Giocabetti Hoch. Connie was raised and attended schools in Emporia.

She married Leonard Leroy Lackey on August 27, 1962 in Emporia. He died on April 20, 2009. Connie continued to live in Emporia until moving to Wichita in 2018.

Through the years she had worked at the Emporia Wal-Mart.

Survivors include her two sons Leonard Lackey of Wichita and Fred Lackey of Emporia; grandson Trevor Lackey of Emporia; and sister Bonnie Schaeffer also of Emporia.

Connie is preceded in death by parents; husband; brother Jerry Casida; and sister Loretta White.

Private family services will be held.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus in Wichita.
