Craig A. Richter, age 67, of Turon, Kansas, passed away on March 17, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 11, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas, to Mary Hellen and Robert Richter.

Craig was known for his kindness, humor, strong work ethic, and unwavering strength. He spent much of his life driving a semi for D&R Trucking and enjoyed hobbies such as coin collecting and model trains. In his free time, he loved dreaming about owning classic cars, fishing, fixing things, and, most importantly, spending time with his family.

Above all, Craig was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He will be remembered for his laughter, his advice, his stubbornness, and his generosity, as well as the deep love he shared with those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Rose J. Richter; his children, James M. and Krissy Knoll, Arron Mathew and Gennese Ringewold, and Ginny Bettes; and his grandchildren, Lauren Coates, Jess Reeves, Arik Ringewold, and Emony Ringewold; son-in-law David Carter. He is also survived by close friends Danny Schauf, Steve Cross, John Hamm, and Ken Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Hellen and Robert Richter, and his grandchildren, Craig John Vanzandt and Nevaeh Smallwood.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Gentiva caregivers for their care and compassion. A special thank you also goes to Justin and Krystle Lane, Teresa Dean, Joise Marie and Lisa Hiton for their support during this difficult time.

Craig will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
