Dale Bruce Anderson, 76, longtime resident of South Hutchinson, Kansas, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Dale was born on February 22, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Eugene Carl Anderson Sr. and Pauline Agnes (Taylor) Anderson. He graduated from Manistee High School in Manistee, Michigan.

Dale served over 20 years in the U.S. Navy, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged as a Chief Petty Officer. After retirement from the Navy, Dale moved to Hutchinson where he studied Police Science at the Community College and worked for a short time in the Hutchinson Police Department. He also worked for a while as an electrician at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility.

Dale was a member of the VFW, American Legion and NRA. He was a passionate Patriot and tried to educate others about American Heritage and values.

Survivors include his son David Anderson of Buhler, KS; twin brother Darrell Lee (Bonnie) Anderson of South Dakota; John Glen Anderson of Hutchinson; sister Debi Anderson of Kansas City, MO; and Eugene Carl Anderson, Jr. of Springfield, MO. Dale is also survived by seven grandchildren; cousin and friend Jane Walters whose husband was also a Navy veteran; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents and his older brother Dennis Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hutchinson VFW on Sunday, July 6th with the time to be announced.

Inurnment with military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 7th at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.
