Daniel Hall Forbes, Jr., 84, of Wichita, died Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on September 10, 1941 in Neodesha, Kansas, the son of Daniel Hall and Ida Newton Forbes, Sr.  Daniel was raised in Neodesha where he graduated from high school.

He graduated from Emporia State Teachers College and moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where he taught at the Military School for 13 years. After it closed Daniel moved to Salina, Kansas where he taught at St. John's Military Academy.

He married Jeanne Kristine Kelley on March 15, 1980 in Wichita. They were member of East Heights United Methodist Church.

Upon moving to Wichita, Daniel graduated from Wichita State University and went to work at Boeing Aircraft for 20 years before retiring.

He was a avid bridge player as a Gold Life Master and also enjoyed reading books.

Survivors include his wife Jeanne of the home; daughter Janie Faguaga of Wichita; grandchildren Michelle Phillips, Brian Cedeno, Allen Faguaga, Christian Faguaga, and Marcus Vinyard; along with his two sisters Mary Jo Henke, Emma Lee Manning and husband Darrell of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Snow Vinyard.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, October 11 at the East Heights United Methodist Church, 4407 E. Douglas, Ave., Wichita, Ks. 67218

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Victory In The Valley of Wichita, Kansas.
