Darlene Faye (Setzkorn) Segard, 70, Pratt-area resident died Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the South Wind Home in Pratt, Kansas.

Darlene was born on November 11, 1955 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Delbert and Elvira (Wetzel) Setzkorn. Darlene attended the Kansas City School for the Blind from her third grade until her senior year in high school, when she returned to Kinsley, graduating from Kinsley High School.

Darlene moved to Wichita, KS, and worked in the X-Ray Lab of Wesley Medical Center and later moved to the Junction City, KS area where she was a telephone operator at the Fort Riley Army Base.

Darlene enjoyed long walks, talking with friends, doing braille work, knitting and listening to music.

Darlene is survived by her sons Kyle, Shaun, and Nicholas Segard; brothers Kenneth, Laurin, and Larry Setzkorn; sister Sharlene Kraft; and four grandchildren.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister Marlene Setzkorn; brothers Dennis, Kevin, and Kenton Setzkorn.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 5 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1108 Stout Street, Pratt, Kansas 67124

The family suggests memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 13307 Jewell Rd, Offerle, KS 67563; or South Wind Home Inc.,496 Yucca Ln, Pratt, KS 67124; or Pratt Area Humane Society, 10233 Bluestem Blvd, Pratt, KS 67124.
