Darrell Wilbert Schriver, 93, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on July 13, 1932 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Wilbert Ervin "Bill" and Helen McKinney Schriver. Darrell was raised in El Dorado he graduated from high school in 1950.

He married Doris Edwards in 1951 in Leon, Kansas. She died in November 1983. Darrell later married Martha Dickson Lortz on September 4, 1984 in Wichita. They were married for 20 years, but have remained very close friends.

After graduating from high school Darrell went to work for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita before serving a short time in the U.S. Army. After being discharged from the military Darrell returned to Wichita and Boeing. Throughout his 39 years with Boeing, he and his family lived in several places across the country.

Darrell and Martha enjoyed traveling in the RV, meeting new people and seeing the country.

He also enjoyed working on cars and hunting.

He is survived by his son Darwin Schriver of Wichita and three grandsons Lucas Schriver, Brandan Briscoe and Shonn Briscoe.

Along with his wife Doris, Darrell is preceded in death by their daughter Darcia Bantista and his sister Joy Lee Warner.
