David Warren Hamm, 79, passed away on December 9, 2024 at his home in Wichita, Ks surrounded by his family. He was born on April 25, 1945 at Luke Field Hospital in Phoenix, Az to Jacob and Helen (Sleeper) Hamm.

He graduated from West High School and went on to attend York College. In 1964 he married Rose Marie Scott. He was a skilled mechanic.. Anyone who knew him probably called him at least twice to fix their car. There wasn't much about a car he couldn't figure out. Throughout his life he worked at Beech Aircraft and he worked as a mechanic on equipment in Dodge City. He worked at Import Volkswagen and as a master mechanic at Nissan. He then went on to work for the City of Wichita repairing and servicing the police fleet.

He had a passion for motorcycles, he never went without having one. Throughout his life with Rose, they spent a lot of time on a bike. In his recent life, his favorite places to be were riding motorcycles and getting breakfast and coffee with his son Randy and to be at home with Rose. David was a kid at heart and loved starting fires that were too big for the fire pit and feeding the squirrels. He loved RC cars and radio controlled planes and ice cream and cookies. He was also the one to go to if you needed to know what was happening in the news.

David is preceded in death by his parents; Warren and Helen Hamm, brothers; Larry Hamm, Alan Hamm, Jerry Jean Hamm, sister; Cheryl Ann Hamm and granddaughter Jessica Marie Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Hamm, of the home. Son, Randall Wayne Hamm, three daughters; Christine Marie Hamm, Dena Lynette Hamm, and Elizabeth Rose Massey, 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Memorial services to be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Reliance Community Church, 11910 W Pawnee, Wichita, Ks 67215, . Graveside service will be on Saturday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Isabel Cemetery, Isabel, Ks. Flowers may be sent directly to Reliance Community Church.
