David Leonard Harris, 72, lifelong Wichita resident, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Unit of Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on June 12, 1953 in Wichita, the son of Leonard Leroy and Louise McClure Harris. David was raised in Wichita and attended Bishop Carroll High School.

Except for a short time living in Washington and Florida, he had lived in Wichita. For the past 15 years David had been a Taxi Driver for ABC. Through the years he enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his brother James Harris and wife Cathy of Wichita; sisters Nancy Masoner and Margaret "Peg" Harris both of Oklahoma City, Therese Harris of Wichita; and nieces Rachel Rodden and Renee Harris.

Private family services will be held.
