David Leu Hoyt, 73, longtime Harper, Kansas resident, died Monday, October 6, 2025 at BelVilla Assisted Living in Andover, Kansas.

He was born on August 6, 1952, his parents were LeRoy Elmer and Anna Mae Householder Hoyt. David graduated from Chaparral High School in Anthony, Kansas.

Through the years he had lived in the Harper County area as well as in Minnesota before returning to Harper. After his father's death in 1992, David took over the family farm near Attica. He had also worked at the Coleman Company and Central Plains Steel.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and drag racing along with being a member of the Attica Saddle Club.

David is survived by his two children Chad Hoyt of Harper and Nicole Marie Hoyt of Wichita.

Inurnment will take place beside his parents at the Attica Cemetery in Attica, Ks.
