Deborah Kay West, 71, of Wichita, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Teresa Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on December 27, 1953 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Shirley Bird Fleming. The family later moved to the Wichita area where she graduated from Andover High School.

After living in Michigan for 12 years she moved back to Wichita and married Everett West in 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died on January 28, 2015.

Survivors include her daughter Michelle Stark and husband Abiodun Ehihloju of Wichita; brother Larry Fleming of Andover; sister Rhonda West of Wichita; granddaughter Yazmine Rucker and husband DeShawn Munsch; and her great grandchildren that she loved to spend time with Yezeri, Kainen, Yari and Khai Munsch.

Along with her husband, Deborah is preceded in death by her parents and brother Terry Lee Fleming.

Deborah had been attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2018 N. Maize Road in Wichita which is where her memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 12th.
