Debra May Harris, 67, of Haven, Kansas, died Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born on June 27, 1958 in Fredonia, Kansas. Debra was raised in Wichita where she attended Wichita East High School.

In the late 1980's she lived in Nowata, Oklahoma where she had been a C.N.A. and Activities Director at a nursing home. Debra later returned to Wichita and then moved to Haven in 1999.

She loved her dogs and animals. Debra enjoyed painting, singing, and crocheting. She was very devout in her faith.

Survivors include her children Daniella Hessman and husband Christopher of Puyallup, Washington, Jasmine Richardson of Haven, Ks., Wade Harris of San Lewis Obispo, Calif.; her father and step-mother Arlin "Bud" and Lois Roat; siblings Tony Roat, Darla Roat, Dila Roat, Larry Roat, Leslie Roat, Ryan Roat, and Dale Roat; grandson Gabriel Daniel Bronski; along with aunts Doris Roat and Marie Roat.

Debra is preceded in death by her mother Adelia Darlene Peck Walters.
