Delva Marie Ensign, 77, of Wichita, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Unit of Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on July 18, 1948 in Wichita, the daughter of Doyle and Hilda Hodge. Delva was raised in Wichita where she graduated from South High School.

Through the years she had worked in the Deli at the Dillons Grocery Store on Central. She enjoyed knitting and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son Ted Ensign of Wichita; brother David Hodge of Dallas, Texas; nephews Raymond Prochaska; and niece Teresa Cooper.

Delva is preceded in death by her parents; brother Steve Hodge; and sister Merrlyn Schulz.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M.,  Saturday, March 14 at Berean Assembly Church, 1215 W Carey Land, Wichita, KS 67217.
