Dennis L. White was born on November 9th, 1949, in El Dorado, KS, the son of William (Bill) White, Jr. and Doris Boucher. As a child, Dennis loved spending time outdoors, he was a nature lover and found beauty in all things.

After graduating from Circle High School in 1968, he joined the Navy and worked as a dental technician. In December 1969, he married Catherine L. Williams, and was stationed in Camp LeJeune, naval base, in North Carolina. Together they had three daughters, Jennifer (Alfonso) Requena of Nowata, OK, Laura McEachern of Blackwell, OK, and Heather Lewis of Bartlesville, OK.

Dennis was a lifetime resident of Butler County where he resided at the time of his passing. Throughout his life, he enjoyed music, photography, cooking, astronomy, and reading. Dennis will be remembered for his smile, laughter, sense of humor, and generous spirit. He was a lover and protector of all animals.

Dennis passed away Sunday, September 29th, 2024, having reached the age of 74. He is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer, Laura, and Heather, two sisters, Brenda (Scott) Willoughby of Royce City, TX, and Yvonne Hofer of Fort Smith, AR, one brother, Scott (Laura) Osborn of Panama City Beach, FL, ten grandchildren, Kelsie (Jesus) Avila, Kylee Requena, and Matthew Berrian of Bartlesville, OK, Dylyn McEachern of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dustyn McEachern of Augusta, KS,  Kaytlyn, Kaden, and Austin Requena of Nowata, OK, and Megan and Emily Lewis of Moore, OK, six great-grandchildren, Xavier, Kiara, Jaelyn, Gabe, Gracelyn, and Gavin, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, one nephew, and one granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Methodist Church in El Dorado, KS on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 at 2 p.m.
