Dixie Mosteller, 93, passed away on February 23, 2025 at her home in Wichita, Ks. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Wichita, Ks to Arlie and Vera (Barker) Tripp.

She was a lifelong resident of Wichita, and a longtime member of First Church of the Brethren. Dixie was an artist, she loved painting. In 1982 she built a cement statue of Jesus Christ and received recognition in DC. She kept active throughout her life, exercised regularly at Genesis and enjoyed playing tennis and going bowling. She was a social butterfly wherever she went, her friends were family to her. She had a big heart for others and volunteered extending a helping hand to those in need. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Mosteller, son in law, Niles Barnett, and sister, Jeanette Grier.

She is survived by her son, Jim Mosteller, daughter, Debbie Barnett, sister, Sandy Fink, two grandchildren; Sasha Ordaz (Chapo) and Jesse Barnett (Kyla), five great grandchildren; Analicia, Joleona, Elena, Gracie, and Oakley, four great great grandchildren; Tyler, Saniella, Ezekiel, and Aviella.

Funeral service to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at First Church of the Brethren 1103 N Jefferson Wichita, Ks 67203, please join the family from 9:30am to 10:30am for coffee and fellowship prior to the service. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of the Brethren or the Kansas Humane Society.
