Donald Lawrence Czarnowsky, 87, died Saturday, October 12, 2024 at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on August 4, 1937 in Latimer, Kansas, the son of Lawrence William and Esther Olga Kandt Czarnowsky. Don was raised in the Herington and Latimer area, graduating from Herington High School in 1955. Later serving in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Don moved to Wichita and went to work for Gates Lear Jet and later was a Tool Coordinator at Boeing Aircraft before retiring. He married Ellen Rupert and they later moved to Arizona. Shortly after her death Don returned to Wichita 17 years ago.

Don enjoyed doing woodworking along with watching sports, especially Kansas State and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by his daughter Tabitha Goulding of Valley Center, Ks., brother Glen Czarnowsky of Lincolnville, Ks.; sister Dorothy Timm of Salina, Ks.; grandchildren Justin Moore, Holly Benest, Chasidy Williams; and great grandchildren Brett Benest, Ruby May Williams, Drake Moore, and Rena Collins.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents and wife Ellen.

Private family services will be held.
