Dotty Joan Smith, 70, of Wichita, died Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Ascension Via Christi Medial Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on October 27, 1955 in Anthony, Kansas, the daughter of Harold E. and Marjorie Jo Selm Loesch. Dotty was raised and lived in the Attica area for many years. She graduated from Attica High School and Pratt Jr College

Dotty had lived in Wichita for 50 years. She was a member of Central Community Church where she was active with Helping Hands. She was a member of The Break Through Club, enjoyed reading and cross stitch.

Survivors include her daughters Erin Johnson and husband Taylor, and Heather Reamer of Wichita; brother Ronnie Loesch of Attica; sister Karla Jahn and husband Jim of Wichita; and grandchildren Samuel Ernst, Gabriella Smith, Jacob Page, Joseph Page, Rebecca, Angelica, Jordan, and T.J.

Dotty is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Donald Loesch.
