Emma Roberts Dillinger, born on March 11, 1938, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Emma was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, to William and Mary Buckley. She later married the love of her life, Royal Kentworth Dillinger, on September 7, 1982. Together they shared 43 years of devotion, partnership, and unwavering commitment.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Scott Dillinger, and her daughter Brenda Helms.

Emma is survived by her husband, Royal, Children, Emma (Mick) Smith, Neil (Anita) McLennan and Crystal (Bryan) Lentjes, 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter.
Private services will take place in Carbondale, IL at a later date.
Emma's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her family. As the cherished matriarch, her strength, compassion, and guidance shaped the lives of those she loved. Her family will always carry with them the lessons she taught, the stories she shared, and the immeasurable love she gave.

Emma will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
