Eugene Ray Newfield May 13, 1958 - February 4, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eugene Newfield, of Peabody, KS, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters on February 4, 2025. Eugene was born on May 13th, 1958, in Marion, KS to Rudolph and Jean (Schroeder) Newfield. He married Tammy (Mead) Newfield on May 9th, 1983.

Eugene found peace and joy in nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and even just walking around. He had an unmatched love for the outdoors. He also enjoyed taking photographs of everything, from sunsets and nature, to his family. In his early years he was known for raising exotic animals, especially big cats and having them in his yard. He was an active member of The First Baptist Church in Peabody, KS for many years. He was a dedicated husband, dad, grandpa, and friend. His warmth and generosity of spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

Eugene is survived by his wife Tammy; his mom, Jean Schroeder; his children, Christina Marple, Angela Newfield, and April Wedel; his 9 grandchildren; and his siblings, Cyndi Easterberg, Tony Newfield, and Tim Newfield. He was preceded in death by his dad, Rudolph Newfield and sister, Patty Smith.
