Ezequiel Martínez-Álvarez, de 37 años, de Wichita, Kansas, falleció pacíficamente el miércoles 5 de noviembre de 2025 en el Centro Médico Wesley, rodeado de sus seres queridos.

Nació el 12 de agosto de 1988 en Guerrero, México, donde creció con fuertes valores familiares y un espíritu trabajador. Ezequiel se desempeñó por varios años como instalador de pisos, siempre orgulloso de su labor y dispuesto a ayudar a los demás.

Durante los últimos ocho años, Wichita fue el hogar de Ezequiel y de su familia. Fue un esposo dedicado, un padre amoroso y un padrastro ejemplar, que trabajó incansablemente para brindar lo mejor a quienes amaba. Su gran corazón, su buen humor y su disposición para ayudar serán siempre recordados por todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.

Deja un profundo vacío en el corazón de su esposa, Francisca Yaneth Moreno-Ibarra; sus hijos, Gael E. Moreno-Ibarra, Everardo A. Martínez-Moreno y Lázaro Martínez; y sus hijastros, Héctor E. Saucedo-Moreno y Jesús T. Saucedo-Moreno, a quienes crió con amor como propios. También le sobrevive su madre, Isidra Álvarez, todos de Wichita, así como varios hermanos y hermanas.

Descansa en paz y se reúne nuevamente junto a su padre, Ezequiel Martínez, y su hermano, Everardo Martínez.

Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo el sábado 15 de noviembre de 2025, a las 12:00 p.m., en Affordable Cremations Plus, en Wichita, con velación a continuación hasta las 5:00 p.m.

Ezequiel será recordado con profundo cariño por su familia, amigos y por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Su legado y su memoria permanecerán vivos en nuestros corazones. Ezequiel Martínez-Álvarez, 37, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on August 12, 1988, in Guerrero, Mexico, where he was raised with strong family values and a hardworking spirit. Ezequiel worked for many years as a flooring installer, always proud of his craft and willing to lend a helping hand to others.

For the past eight years, Wichita had been home to Ezequiel and his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a caring stepfather who worked tirelessly to provide the best for those he loved. His big heart, good humor, and willingness to help will always be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Francisca Yaneth Moreno-Ibarra; his children, Gael E. Moreno-Ibarra, Everardo A. Martínez-Moreno, and Lázaro Martínez; and his stepsons, Héctor E. Saucedo-Moreno and Jesús T. Saucedo-Moreno, whom he lovingly raised as his own. He is also survived by his mother, Isidra Álvarez, all of Wichita, along with several brothers and sisters.

He now rests in peace, reunited with his father, Ezequiel Martínez, and his brother, Everardo Martínez.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Affordable Cremations Plus in Wichita, with visitation to follow until 5:00 p.m.

Ezequiel will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all those who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy and memory will forever live in our hearts. Though his absence brings great sorrow, his spirit and love will continue to shine in our lives — as well as in those who were given a second chance at life through his generous act of kindness of organ donation.
