Floyd Cecil Glasgow, 72, died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his home in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born on April 12, 1952 in Albany, Oregon, the son of Kenneth Eldon and Barbara Jean Casebier Glasgow. The family moved to California in the early 60's where he graduated from Orange High School. Floyd worked with his dad as an auctioneer.
Floyd spent several years in California and Oregon before moving to Wichita in 2010. He married Alice Woody Eveland in February 2011. They enjoyed going to the casinos.
Prior to retiring in 2017, he had been a mechanic and truck driver for JR Customs in Wichita. Floyd spent a lot of time at 81 Speedway where he raced in the Modified Division.
He loved spending time with his family being a great son, brother, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his son Lloyd Glasgow of Louisiana; sister Erma Glasgow of Albany, Oregon; brothers Russ Glasgow and wife Donna of Portland, Oregon, Mike Glasgow and wife Bev of Eagle Point, Oregon, Ernie Glasgow and wife Karen of Orange, Calif.; granddaughter Shea Glasgow Williams of Turlock, Calif.; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Floyd is also survived by Alice's children Norma Snodgrass and husband Roy, Diana Burkholder and husband Eddie, and Jerry Eveland and wife Janice all of Wichita; along with 14 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Alice on September 29, 2021; daughter Laura Lynn Glasgow; and brothers Everett and Laird Glasgow.
The family will have a special time to remember Floyd's life in both Wichita and Oregon.
