Gerald Donald Slover, Sr., 81, died Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his home in Wichita, Kansas surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 1, 1944 in Pratt, Kansas, the son of Renee and Bertha Zeller Slover, Sr. Jerry was raised in Pratt.

He later moved to the Wichita area where he married Kathleen Kay Mitchell on April 14, 1972 in Maize. They had lived for several years in Jacksonville, Florida.

Through the years Jerry had worked at G. & G Catering in Wichita and The Hen House Restaurant in Park City. He enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching the Jacksonville Jaguars and Nascar, as well as going fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathy Slover, of the home; sons Jerry Slover, Jr and wife Shawn of Wichita, Billy Slover, Sr. and wife Nicole of Oklahoma; brother Robert (Bobby) Slover; grandchildren Heather Slover, Daniel Slover and wife Ashley, Billy Slover, Jr and wife Kayla, Cheyenne Slover; and great grandchildren Damion, Madison, Nova-Leigh, Raiden, Natalie, Kay, and Lilith.

The celebration of life will be Wednesday October 1,2025 at O.J. Watson Park at 2 P.M.
