Glen Kibler Sheets, Jr., 73, died Sunday, December 22, 2024 at his home in Wichita.

He was born on September 16, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. Glen attended school in Whitewater as well as Wichita Heights High School. He later attended Wichita State University.

Glen married Patricia Suzanne Kirkpatrick on July 28, 1969 in Wichita. For 20 years he had been the Automotive Instructor at Cowley College in Arkansas City and for seven years at Wichita Area Technical College.

He loved doing metal scalping and enjoyed making sunflowers for family and friends. Glen also enjoyed playing the guitar.

Survivors include his wife Pat of the home; son Glen Anthony Sheets and wife Elizabeth of Prairie Village, Ks., daughter Melissa Dawn Woody and husband Jim of Andover; brother Paul Sheets and wife Shelly of Long, South Carolina; sister Virginia Hauer and husband Melvin of Rockwall, Texas; step-sisters Sandra Guarino and husband Paul along with Connie Sheets-Thomas all of Missouri; and five grandchildren Ryan Lara, Margaret "Maisie" Sheets, Olivia Lara, Henry "Ike" Sheets", and Fredrick "Bert" Sheets.

Glen is preceded in death by his father Glen Kibler Sheets, Sr. and mother Charlsie Ikerd Benjamin.

A Celebration of Life will be held later.
