Gordon Lane "Butch" Stough, Jr., 58, of Wichita, died Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Azria Health of Wichita.

He was born on July 8, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Gordon Lane and Viola Leigh "Sandi" Parker Stough, Sr. When Butch was a child the family moved to the Wichita area where he graduated from Derby High School.

He had continued to live in the Wichita area where through the years he had worked in home construction and as an auto mechanic.

Butch was an animal lover, he enjoyed camping, fishing, playing guitar and singing. His favorite group was Tesla.

He loved to tell stories and was the biggest jokester, always had a joke in his back pocket because he loved to make people smile.

Survivors include his daughter Hope LeeAnn Stough and her companion Quentin Baxter of Wichita; his mother Viola "Sandi" Stough of Alpena, Arkansas; and brother James Lee Stough of Atlanta, Georgia.

Butch is preceded in death by his father and an infant brother Randolph William Stough.

A private celebration of life is being held.
