Hubert "Howard" Davis, 76, of Wichita, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on December 30, 1949, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the son of Woodrow and Orlene Rowland Davis. As a child, the family moved to California where he graduated from Taft Union High School in Taft, California, and was an Art Major at Taft Junior College.

Howard, in adulthood,  moved to Somerset, Pennsylvania where he lived for many years and was in the construction business.  Later, he moved his family to Wichita, Kansas.

He enjoyed drawing and doing art work. Howard was an avid baseball fan and liked to fish. He loved attending live music shows.

Survivors include siblings Charlotte Luther,  Bill Davis,  and Georgia Davis; sons William Davis (Amy) of Wichita, Christian Hill of St. Clair, Mo.; daughter Erica St. Clair (Christoper) of Somerset, Pa.; along with grandchildren Talyn, Jasmine, Traven, Isabelle, Kendall, Brooke, Ian, and Vanessa.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Deborah L Hill, and siblings Johnnie Davis, Pat Glendening, and Sue Anderson.

No services are planned, at Howard's request.
