Ida Mae Dickinson crossed over the river on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the home she shared with her son in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born on August 30, 1933 in Maplesville, Alabama, the daughter of Roosevelt and Gracie Sullivan Waters. Ida was raised and graduated from high school in Maplesville.
In the early 1950's she moved from Alabama to Junction City, Kansas. Ida had worked for several years at the Post Laundry at Ft. Riley and was a faithful member of the Second Baptist Church in Junction City.
Ida moved to Wichita six years ago to live with her son Jimmy Dickinson. She is also survived by her daughter Sharon Dickinson of Shreveport, Louisiana; six grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents along with her brothers and sisters.
The family has entrusted Ida's care with Affordable Cremations Plus of Wichita, Kansas.
