James Patrick Anderson, 77, of Goddard, Kansas died Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Medicalodge of Goddard.

He was born on February 12, 1948 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Floyd Joseph and Patricia P. Swisher Anderson. Growing up Jim was very close to his grandparents and his Aunt Maude Lukins helped to raise him.

Jim graduated from El Dorado High School where he had been part of the track team. He served in the U.S. Air Force between 1967 and 1971. He later graduated from the University of Kansas with a Pharmacist Degree.

For several years Jim lived in New England where he worked as a Pharmacist. He later moved to the Wichita area where Jim was a Pharmacist for WalGreens until retiring in 2014.

He married Dana Rae Long Alexander on November 1, 2001 in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii.  They loved to travel around the world along with touring the National Parks. Avid sports fans, Jim and Dana enjoyed going to watch the K.U. Jayhawks. He also was a stamp collector. Jim also enjoyed playing with his three Palmaranian's, Leilani, Moana, Koa.

He is survived by his wife Dana Alexander of the home in Goddard along with aunts, including Betty Sauber of Wichita; and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Janesville Cemetery, 1905 260th Street, Hamilton, Kansas 66853 beside his parents.
