Obituary

James Barton of Udall, KS traveled home February 21st, 2026, at William Newton Hospital in Winfield, KS. James was born December 29th, 1963, in Galveston, TX to James and Ruth Barton. He was just one of 9 siblings. James lived in Texas most of his life. He worked as a Scaffold Foreman in the Oil Refinery. He also spent time on the water aboard tug boats in the Gulf. James was a man whose smile was infectious and never knew what a light day of work was. He lived for his children and the wind in his hair on his motorcycle. He was a romantic. James fell in love at first site. He finally built up the courage enough to get up from his seat under the oak tree to start his next chapter with the love of his life, Robin Boldt, October 14th, 2017, on the bike in Texas City, TX. In 2020 Robin and James moved to Kansas. James cared for all of his children. To him there was no difference in biological or not. James loved his family and friends with everything he had. He did whatever was needed to make sure they had what they needed. James was preceded in death by his Parents James and Ruth Barton, Brothers Dalta Dennis and George Dennis, Sisters Janie Dennis, Faye Dennis, and Eva Dennis.

He is survived by his Brothers John and wife Lili of Orange, TX and Luke and wife Dawn Michelle of Willis, TX, Sister Nancy and her husband Darrell Looney of Houston, TX, his loving wife Robin Boldt of Udall, KS. He is also survived by his 9 children Mandy Peyrani of San Leon, TX, Dustin Barton of Huntsville, TX, James Barton Jr. and wife Kalysandra of Texas City, TX, Cheyanne Grube of Halstead, KS, Pete Barton, Savannah Barton, Jaylin Barton, Hailey Barton and Solomon Barton all of Udall, KS. He is also survived by his Grand-children, Issac and Mia Peyrani, and James Reed Barton, Rip and River Grube, and Athena Berry.

A viewing will proceed services beginning at 3:30pm. Memorial service will begin at 4:30pm, on March 3, 2026 all services will be at The Grove Church, 2654 58th Drive, Udall, KS. The family would like to extend an invitation to all friends and family to attend the memorial dinner following the Memorial service. The dinner will be at the Udall Community Building, 102 East 1st Street, Udall, KS.

A benefit Taco Feed and Silent Auction will be held on Sunday March 8th, 2026 at the Udall Community Building starting at 6:00pm. All proceeds will support Robin and his young children.
